Introduction - What's Toluna?
Toluna is one of many, many survey website. You fill in a bunch of surveys ranging from a few minutes to a few hours long. As you do so, you slowly accrue points. You later use these points to redeem some kind of reward. These rewards are usually eGift cards, though there are some direct money transfer options too.
Why Compare Rewards?
It would be easy to assume that the most expensive (in terms of points) rewards will give you the most money in your pocket.
I don’t want to assume, I want to make sure I’m maximising my profits.
So, I took the point cost of each reward, divided it by the monetary value of the card, and voila! We will now know how many points each dollar is worth. You want as few points to the dollar as possible, so you are getting the most money per redeem.

The worst reward by value is the $50 EFTPOS payout, using 5% more points than the best-value options.Â
I know these figures are small, but if you are using survey websites a lot, that 5% could add up to a lot of rewards over time.
Other Factors to Consider
1. Get Rewards You’ll Use
You should only redeem rewards you’ll actually use, otherwise your gift card will expire, and your net gain is 0.
2. Consider Payout Time
Some survey sites can take six weeks to send you a physical gift card, so if you need cash sooner than that, choose a bank transfer option.
