As the final months of 2020 loomed high, I knew I wanted to get a Christmas design out before December. I’d been too late in making and uploading Skeleton War 2020 to get any Halloween sales, I wasn’t going to make the same mistake again.
I came up with this idea of a marshmallow sitting between two graham crackers, in front of a fireplace, holding hands and melting together. The design got more refined, and I couldn’t find a way to simplistically show the melting, so I settled for just holding hands.
The implication of a thouple, or three-person couple, is absolutely on purpose. The people who live that lifestyle deserve to have merch that depicts their lifestyle in a normalised, cheerful way.
