About This Artwork
The first iteration of this artwork was a pen and pencil sketch. It was very rough but I got my main concept across: a woman with dark clothes and pink hair, casting spells of astrology with her hands.
I digitized the pencil sketch with my PC and graphics tablet. The style is purposely hard and choppy as I was trying to emulate the art style of Fukari.
Four years later, I came back to this artwork with the intent of making it more smooth and polished. Besides creating much smoother line art, I added greater variance to the shades of black I used, and added glowing effects to the magic to heighten it’s magic-ness.
